1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Connect Mavumium, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3. Platform Liability Limitation

Connect Mavumium is a matchmaking platform. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of the services provided by businesses listed on our platform. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

4. Content Standards

Users are solely responsible for the content they post. You may not post content that is illegal, offensive, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

5. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users of the Service, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

7. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds

All payments on Connect Mavumium are processed securely by Paddle, our merchant of record. Premium subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; your access continues for the remainder of the period you have paid for. Verification fees become non-refundable once the verification badge has been awarded, and subscription payments become non-refundable once AI credits or AI functionality have been used in the billing period. 8. Data Protection (POPIA / GDPR)

We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable data-protection frameworks. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Every account can download a complete copy of its data at any time from Account Settings → Your Data, or via the Dashboard's "Download My Data" option. 9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion: (a) your public listing is removed immediately; (b) any active subscription is automatically cancelled; and (c) your account and personal data are completely and permanently deleted from our systems within 48 hours. Deletion is irreversible.

10. Ratings, Likes & Reports

Star ratings must reflect a genuine experience with a business. Manipulating ratings, likes, or reports — including coordinated or repeated reporting to harm another account — is prohibited and may result in account termination. Report submissions are rate-limited to prevent abuse, and every report is reviewed by our team.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page.
